America's Next Top Model at Fashion Week and Elsewhere

Apparently the fashion high-ups don't think that America 's Next Top Model Cycle 9 winner Saleisha Stowers wasn't "seasoned" enough to be part of New York 's Fashion Week, thus the model's absence in the biggest fashion event of the year. However, this hasn't stopped the 22-year-old from representing at Fashion Week, as she joined three other models from recent seasons of America 's Next Top Model on the runways. One of them, in fact, is one of Saleisha's Cycle 9 competitors. Apparently Cycle 9 bad girl Bianca Golden was good enough to grace the runway along with Cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez and Danielle "Dani" Evans, who won in Cycle 6.

Moreover, it was a reality crossover for the America 's Next Top Model alum, as the show they were appearing in was the Project Runway fashion show for the five remaining designers on that show. Also, they aren't the only Top Modelers who are keeping themselves busy nowadays. There's also Yaya Dacosta from Cycle 3, who is appearing in the John Sayles film Honeydripper, where she worked with actor Charles S. Dutton.

Apparently the two enjoyed working together as Dutton is starring with and directing Yaya in a Lifetime TV film entitled Racing for Time. Based on a true story of guard at a female juvenile offender, the film follows a woman who starts a track club for the young women. Yaya is playing a "gifted young runner," alongside Elizabeth Pena, who stars in the film. The TV movie will be aired on Lifetime on Saturday, February 16 at 8pm, with another telecast the next two days at the same time. Recent reports claim that the film is "grittier and more stylish than the average Lifetime movie [but] nevertheless provides the mandatory melodrama and feel-good ending." To catch Yaya from America 's Next Top Model do some acting, don't forget to catch Racing for Time on Lifetime TV.
